A Pub Crawl Guide to Seoul

From the bustling Myeongdong nightlife to the downtown districts of Gangnam, near Gangbuk and Itaewon, Seoul is one of the world’s premier nightlife cities. It’s a buzzing labyrinth of neon lit streets and alleyways, highlighting the country’s huge variety of bars and pubs, for a night out on the town. Here’s a guide to some of Seoul’s most unique nightlife venues.

Foxhole Bar

My personal opinion: Foxhole Bar is my favorite place to go for a night out in Seoul! The atmosphere is great and the drinks are excellent. The music is also great and the staff are always very friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting Foxhole Bar if you’re looking for a great evening out in Seoul.

Brew 3.14

Brew 3.14 is one of Seoul’s finest beer bars, located in Jongro-gu. Boasting an ever-changing list of over 35 local and international craft beers, ranging from lagers to IPAs, there’s something for everyone here. Plus, delicious snacks such as sliders, tacos, and wings are available for when you get peckish. With its warm atmosphere, you’ll certainly feel at home here. And if the beer isn’t enough to get you off your chair, then there is an array of classic video games to keep you entertained. Brew 3.14

My personal opinion: Brew 3.14 is a great bar for lovers of craft beer! The selection of local and international beer is really extensive and the snacks are really tasty too. The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed, which makes it a great place to go with friends. I always enjoy my visits here and would definitely recommend it!

Tounge & Groove

Tounge & Groove is an award-winning bar and club located near Itaewon. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, great music, and amazing performances, this multi-level club has been wowing its visitors since 2002. Thanks to its superior sound system and resident DJs, Tounge & Groove never fails to provide the perfect setting for a night out. With its unique blend of hip hop, classic rock, house, EDM and a mix of other genres, there’s something for everyone here. There’s also plenty to eat and drink with the bars offering craft beers, classic cocktails, wines, and spirits. Also on offer are classic American fast-food dishes such as burgers and quesadillas – perfect for when you work up an appetite on the dance floor. Tounge & Groove

My personal opinion: Tounge & Groove is one of my favorite spots in Seoul for a night out! The music selection never fails to impress me and the atmosphere is always really lively. The drinks are reasonably priced too, so you can enjoy a night of dancing without breaking the bank. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for a fun night out!

Soju Bar

For those who want a taste of Korean culture, then Soju Bar is your go-to place in downtown Gangnam (Nobel Zone). This iconic Korean bar offers classic Korean cuisine alongside generous servings of smooth locally made Soju liquor. Soju Bar has a laid-back atmosphere with lots of small tables for groups or large ones for long nights full of drinking. It is especially popular among young Koreans who come here during their hwarang (weekend) trips because of its loud music, interesting drinks menu, and all-day happy hour, making it the perfect place for an all-year round evening out in Seoul. My personal opinion: Soju Bar is a great spot to sample some classic Korean cuisine whilst savoring some Soju liquor! The atmosphere is super relaxed and laid back and the barmen are always happy to answer questions about the menu and give recommendations on what drinks to try. I usually come here with friends on weekend evenings and always have a great time!

Club Eden

If you’re looking for an unforgettable night out in Gangnam then Club Eden at Nonhyeon Station Exit 8 is your destination. Club Eden has three levels of dancing floors with its own unique style – think colorful costumes and wild performances from go-go dancers – the club has a lot to offer. On top of that Eden also regularly hosts international EDM DJs playing the latest tunes so there’s never a dull moment here! As for drinks; Eden serves craft beers and signature funky cocktails that will get your night started off perfectly.Club Eden

My personal opinion: Club Eden offers an amazing night out experience in Gangnam! The performances from the go-go dancers are always incredible and the music from the international DJs is always spot on. Plus the drinks selection is really good too! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a vibrant evening out in Gangnam!
