Experience Berlin’s Best Party Scene

There’s no shortage of top-notch nightlife in Berlin, Germany. From world-famous bars and modern club hotspots to pulsing underground music venues and limitless partying on the city’s streets, Berlin has something to offer everyone. Whether you’re after cheap shots and memorable nights in dive bars or looking to spend a night at a glossy mega-club, there’s a place for you in Berlin’s nightlife scene.

Berghain & Panorama Bar

If you’re looking for the cream of the crop, then Berghain and Panorama Bar are the place for you. Located in an old power station, this iconic club and bar venue dishes up all manner of electronic music from techno and minimal to house and experimental. The industrial space offers multiple floors with unique themes and décors – all full of opportunities to get lost in the sonic bliss of some of the world’s best DJs. For many visitors, the weekend-long raves here are not to be missed. My personal opinion: If you are ready to let go and stay until the early morning, then Berghain & Panorama Bar are a must-visit. Berghain & Panorama Bar.

Club der Visionaere

If you’re after something a little more down-tempo and soulful, then Club der Visionaere is the place for you. Set in a stunning environment with two canals neighboring two terraces, this former punt-boat shed offers Sunday electronic music sessions from mid-March until October. On the weekends you can expect late open-air parties and smaller crowds than at some of Berlin’s more mainstream venues, making for intimate and relaxed vibes. A huge plus is that drinks are cheaper than average. In my opinion this is one of the most special places in Berlin with its idyllic setting. Club der Visionaere.

Ritter Butzke

This award-winning club is renowned worldwide for its quality programming on the smaller side of techno. This underground gem is no frills – no guestlisting, no bottle service, just music, sweat and good vibes. Spread over three floors that each offer a different style of music (from tech house through to garage and hip hop beats) this club never fails to pack in the crowds and keep them dancing until sunrise. This is not an option for those looking for an easy evening out but still definitely worth a visit – at least once! In my opinion this one should not be missed on anybody’s nightlife list. Ritter Butzke.

Kater Blau

If you’re looking for more of a cathedral vibe without compromising on quality music, then Kater Blau is the place for you. This bohemian oasis of dance music offers DJs sets through til late each Saturday plus special events during peak seasons throughout the summer months. The intimate 1930s-style steamboat makes Kater Blau stand out from other venues in Berlin with high-tech lighting blasting every corner of this magical boat. In my opinion, Kater Blau is one of a kind and an absolute must-visit if you have the chance! Kater Blau.

Gretchen

Gretchen is a Berlin hipster staple located within a 19th century brewery, offering up eclectic parties all week long. Its programme has ranged from indie rock to pop and soul, allowing for all sorts of audiences to feel comfortable in its striking industrial space. With a large outdoor area and four separate rooms, Gretchen is well worth both a short visit on any night or a longer stay over the weekend when internationally renowned acts and residents take to the stage throughout the weekend and into Monday afternoon. My personal opinion: Gretchen has something going on every night and should definitely be visited if you get the chance! Gretchen.

Kosmonaut

Kosmonaut offers an array of Mediterranean food and cocktails as well as electronic music parties that go off until 4 AM featuring some of Berlin’s top local DJs . This funky venue sports a laidback atmosphere and some topnotch vibes made to have a good time in with friends or meeting new ones while indulging in any of their cheap drinks specials. There’s also tables by the bar to sit back, relax and enjoy some delicious South American and Mediterranean inspired cuisine while groovin’ to whatever sounds are pouring through the speakers that day. In my opinion, it’s one of the more underrated places in Berlin but still deserves its spot on this list! Kosmonaut.

Prince Charles & Loftus Hall

Prince Charles & Loftus Hall offer up some of Berlin’s most fun nights out. A hidden club paradise where Pop Art reigns, Prince Charles provides live music seven days a week with world famous acts from across Europe always gracing the stages of these two locations. You can either just come for drinks or stay for hours with different dance floors flinging dubbed out electro beats through the night – either way it’s sure to be an eventful evening! I personally love the detailed industrial decor at both locations – it always adds something special no matter what day of the week it is! My personal opinion: A great spot if you just want to let go, dance and have some drinks! Prince Charles & Loftus Hall.

Cheers Bar & Nightclub

If you’re after some drinks without dealing with music distractions then Cheers Bar & Nightclub is one of the best spots in town. While it’s largely focused on spirits (gin menu for days!), it also features an impressive selection of craft beers as well as cocktails crafted by experienced mixologists – all on tap! Saturdays usually offer up free entrance events filled with payed DJs spinning today’s top tunes as well as other house/disco/techno club nights taking place throughout the week. With live shows and cool chill-out spaces for relaxing with friends it’s hard to go wrong when visiting Cheers Bar & Nightclub . My personal opinion: Definitely worth trying out if you’re in the area! Cheers Bar & Nightclub.
