The Open Water Diver course is divided into 3 main segments:

Theory Segment

During the theory segment, you’ll learn the basic principles of scuba diving. You’ll cover topics such as how to use scuba equipment, breathing underwater, and general dive safety.

Practical Segment – Confined Water Dives

After you complete the theory segment, you’ll move on to the practical segment, which begins with confined water dives in a swimming pool. You’ll learn basic scuba skills and how to handle equipment in a safe and controlled environment.

Practical Segment – Discover Scuba Diving Experience

On day two, you’ll be able to put your knowledge and skills to the test with a Discover Scuba Diving experience. This is where you’ll have the chance to use the skills you’ve acquired, and it may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.

Day 1

On day one of the tour, you’ll meet your instructor at the swimming pool in Chalong at 8:30 am.

Day 2 – Racha Yai Island

On day two, you’ll head to Racha Yai Island.
  • 7:30 am – Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Chalong pier
  • 8:00 am – Welcome aboard! Breakfast is provided on the way to the first diving site
  • 10:00 am – First dive
  • 11:00 am – Hot buffet lunch served on board. Time for relaxation and snorkeling on Racha Yai Island
  • 12:30 pm – Second dive
  • 3:00 pm – Return to Chalong pier and transfer back to your hotel

Day 3 – Phi Phi Island

On day three, you’ll visit Phi Phi Island.
  • 7:15 am – Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Chalong pier
  • 8:00 am – Breakfast is provided on the way to the first diving site
