Full Description

The South Milos Tour starts from the bay of Platis Gialos, where we will cruise through the strait of Kimolos-Milos in about 25 minutes. As we pass the northwest corner of Poliegos island, we head towards the southeastern part of Milos Island, where the famous sulfur mines are located. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the mines. Once we reach the sulfur mines, we anchor, and you can swim to the beach. You can visit the old mine, which was operational until the mid-1950s, along with the old factory that still has the old machinery. The scenery here resembles a theme from Sergio Leone’s spaghetti western movies, and the seawater is therapeutic. You can spend about 20 minutes exploring the mines. After exploring the sulfur mines, we head southwest towards Gerakas beach. The beach is another beautiful location, where you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Greece. The South Milos Tour will then take us to the cape of Vani, where you can see the abandoned manganese mines. These mines are no longer operational and have been abandoned since the 1920s. The final destination of the tour is the Kleftiko area. The Kleftiko area is a series of rock formations that are only accessible by boat. Once we reach the area, the boat will be anchored, and you can swim or snorkel in the crystal-clear water.
