Day 1: After being picked up from your hotel in Tbilisi in the morning, you will soon reach the border to Armenia. At around 11:00 AM, you will step into the historical region of Lori, which is famous for its rocky landscapes and mysterious monasteries. Here, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Haghpat, a medieval monastic complex, and an extraordinary example of the Armenian Church’s distinctive style of architecture. Afterward, we will travel for a few hours till we reach the scenic Lake Sevan, one of the signature sites of Armenia, situated at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. Here you can see the medieval Sevanavank Monastery, which dates back to the 9th century, and enjoy a traditional lunch by the lake. In the late afternoon, you will reach Yerevan, the modern capital of Armenia. Day 2: On the second day, after having breakfast in our hotel, we will visit the ancient temple of Garni which is the only remaining temple from the pre-Christian era in Armenia and the only Greek-style temple in the former Soviet Union. Then we will make our way to Geghard, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This monastery complex was carved out of a mountain and has a unique architectural value. Afterward, we will visit the Ararat Brandy Factory, where you will have the option to take a tour and taste world-renowned Armenian Brandy.
