London Nightlife Guide

London is home to some of the best nightlife in Europe. From the high-energy clubs of West End to sophisticated lounges in the City of London and world-renowned pubs dotted around the city – London has something to suit every taste. In this downloadable guide we’ll be exploring London’s high-octane nightlife, from pub theatres and quirky bars to festival takeovers and nightclubs. Let us show you why London is the ultimate destination for nightlife – this is going to be an unforgettable experience!

The Old Blue Last

The Old Blue Last is a vibrant bar and multi-cultural venue situated in the heart of Shoreditch. A stone’s throw from the notorious ’Shoreditch Triangle’, this venue packs a punch with its eclectic lineup of events and underground sounds. Music-lovers, art-lovers and party-goers will all find something to enjoy here – whether it’s an indie rock band, a DJ set or a documentary screening. Entertainment ranges from dancehall to trance and drum & bass but also features underground comedy and spoken word events. The Old Blue Last is moreish and easy to love – a classic spot for experiencing the best of modern London nightlife. The Old Blue Last is a hub of diverse events and innovation – come, see and be seen!

Personally, I absolutely love The Old Blue Last. It’s got an immense vibe and friendly crowd; it’s off the beaten track yet still lively. The cocktails, the music and the decor are all top-notch quality too, giving the venue an extra edge that sets it apart from other popular spots in the city. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking to experience true Shoreditch vibes.

JuJu Chelsea

JuJu Chelsea is one of London’s most stylish venues with roots in classic English glamour. Despite its central location in Chelsea, stepping inside JuJu feels like entering an exclusive house party in the “70s; think leopard skin throws, polished brass beer pumps, cabaret seating and soft mood lighting for a mellow ambience. The venue is renowned for bespoke cocktails crafted using unusual ingredients and straight spirits sourced from artisan distilleries around the UK. The bar also offers a selection of vintage champagnes, an impressive wine list and a range of craft beers alongside small plates to share. JuJu Chelsea also puts on occasional live jazz events guaranteed to keep your spirits up all night long!

I have spent several weekends at JuJu Chelsea since first discovering it early last year – I simply can’t get enough! There is something so inviting and glamorous about this place that continues to draw me back time and time again. There aren’t many other places in London where you can let down your hair and have some genuine fun – but if that’s what you’re after, JuJu Chelsea will not disappoint!

Vault East

Vault East is an obsessively cool pop-up that has attracted some serious attention since opening late last year in East London. High on the list of must-visit road trip destinations for partygoers from across London and beyond, Vault East promises eclectic vibes, innovative artwork and top-tier DJs from all over the world. You can expect a mix of funk, soul, disco, Afrobeats and house music throughout the night – making it a great place to show your moves on the dance floor! Vault East may be temporary but it sure knows how to throw a party!

In my opinion, I think that Vault East has quickly become one of the most exciting destinations in London’s nightlife scene. The selection of music is nothing short of amazing; it’s got something appealing for everyone, no matter their musical tastes. As if that weren’t enough, the atmosphere here is simply electric – if you’re looking for a night you won’t forget, then look no further than Vault East!

Write Way Bar

Write Way Bar is an award-winning cocktail bar situated inside Rabbit Hole cocktail bar in Fitzrovia. Winner of multiple GQ Bar Awards and lauded by critics from Time Out to The Guardian – Write Way Bar is serious about its drinks! Whether you’re looking for an earthy sloe gin with rosemary or something zesty like their own take on an Espresso Martini – Write Way is sure to satisfy your taste buds with both classic and modern concoctions. It’s an intimate venue but it has style in spades – think marble surfaces, dark wood furnishings and a quirky library tucked away in cosy corners. In short – Write Way Bar is an unmissable experience when it comes to London nights out!

I have visited Write Way Bar several times now but the experience never stops being exciting – I usually end up learning something totally new every time I go there! These guys know their stuff when it comes to cocktails; they are experts at interpreting classic recipes into something totally unique, so you won’t even recognise some of your old favourites on the menu here! Highly recommended if you want to treat yourself with impeccable drinks and great atmosphere.

Bussey Building in Peckham

The Bussey Building in Peckham is one of South London’s most iconic venues for live music, film screenings and club nights. Here you can expect both local acts alongside international DJ sets across four unique venues within the building: two large warehouse spaces (the infamous Club South and bar/events room upstairs), two club lounges – one contemporary, one retro – plus a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking Peckham Rye Park. Bussey Building hosts events every day so there is always something new to explore whenever you visit!

Bussey Building has quickly become my favourite spot in South London since first discovering it last year. Its unique atmosphere merges inspiring art with cutting-edge music; I’ve had some great nights here dancing until the early hours or even just chilling on the rooftop lounge until sunrise – definitely worth checking out if you want to explore London’s nightlife away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
