The Harp Bar

The Harp Bar, on the outskirts of Belfast city centre, is known for its top quality drinks and unrivalled atmosphere. The bar itself is a converted brewery that dates back to the 18th century and offers unique ales from its own micro-brewery. The bar also hosts regular live music and events, making it a great place for a night out. So, whether you’re after some delicious locally sourced beer or just a good time, The Harp Bar is the place for you.

My personal opinion on this place is that The Harp Bar would make a great destination for anyone looking for an evening of relaxed drinks with friends. The atmosphere inside is friendly and inviting and the unique ales offered from their brewery are definitely worth trying.

The Duke of York

The Duke of York is one of Belfast’s most popular bars and has been around since 1911. The bar has an old-world charm and is made up of several rooms, each with its own atmosphere. While the bar can get quite lively at weekends, it’s also a nice place to while away a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. With over 20 hand-pulled ales and 60 different bottles, there’s something here for every taste.

My personal opinion of this place is that The Duke of York would be great for visitors looking for a more laid-back evening. While the bar can get busy, it still has a relaxed atmosphere throughout and I can guarantee you’ll find something tasty to drink here.

The Empire Music Hall

The Empire Music Hall is one of Belfast’s most iconic venues and has been entertaining music lovers since 1870. The venue has a vibrant atmosphere and regularly hosts some of the biggest names in music, as well as smaller local acts. If you’re in the mood for a wild night out complete with dancing, then this is the place for you.

My personal opinion on this place is that The Empire Music Hall would make an ideal destination for anyone looking for an energetic night out. With an electric atmosphere and some of the best acts around gracing the stage, it’s the perfect place to let loose and have some fun.

Thompson’s Garage

Thompson’s Garage is one of Belfast’s more unique bars/clubs and is located in an old disused garage. The walls are adorned with vintage memorabilia and rustic furniture giving it an interesting atmosphere. There’s also a funktion one sound system and plenty of dancing space, making this spot a must-visit for any night out in Belfast.

My personal opinion about this place is that Thompson’s Garage would be great for visitors who want a more alternative night out than what you might find in other bars/clubs in Belfast. It has a really cool atmosphere and you can really tell that it has been made with love and attention to detail, which makes it even better.

Oh El Diablo

For something a little different head over to Oh El Diablo. As one of Belfast’s most popular nightclubs, Oh El Diablo offers up a dose of Latin American energy in the form of weekly salsa classes and live music events. There’s also plenty of opportunities to enjoy some traditional Mexican dishes courtesy of their cantina-style restaurant.

My personal opinion about this place is that Oh El Diablo offers up something completely different to other bars/clubs in Belfast thanks to its Latin American vibes and quirky decor. It’s definitely worth checking out if you fancy a change from your standard night out in Belfast!

The Filthy Quarter

The Filthy Quarter is one of Belfast’s most talked about venues and it’s easy to see why. This gritty basement bar is filled with old-school Soho furniture and provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable night out. There’s always something going on here, from DJs to late night drinks offers and live music events, it’s no wonder why so many people flock here on the weekends

My personal opinion on this place is that The Filthy Quarter would be great for anyone hoping for an alternative night out from the usual clubs and bars in Belfast. From the unique decor to the live music events, it definitely has something that other venues don’t offer which can make it a truly memorable experience.
