The Bridge is one of Oxford’s hottest music venues and it has been a firm favourite of Oxford’s clubbers for decades. Located on Frewin Court, it’s a great spot for those looking for a night of dancing, drinking and socialising. With a great selection of drinks, DJs playing the best tunes and friendly staff, The Bridge is sure to provide an unforgettable night out. The Bridge is open until 3am on Friday and Saturday nights and it’s always packed with partygoers enjoying the atmosphere. The Trout

The Trout is a classic Oxford pub that dates back to the nineteenth century. Its homely atmosphere has earned it a loyal following of regulars and locals – the beer garden is particularly popular in the warmer months. During the summer, The Trout also hosts live music events; expect a lively atmosphere in the garden with drinks flowing from the bar.
The pub serves up traditional pub grub, as well as some excellent Scotch eggs, which are homemade with freshly-prepared mash. Personal Opinion: The Trout is a great spot for an informal drink with friends; I never fail to have a good time here!

The Red Lion

The Red Lion is another classic pub that dates back to the 1700s. Over the years, it has become known as one of Oxford’s most popular watering holes. Its interior is rustic and inviting, with lots of comfy seating, atmospheric lighting and a tempting selection of beers on tap. During summer, make sure you take advantage of The Red Lion’s expansive patio area, where you can enjoy a few drinks and some good conversation in the warm evening air. Personal Opinion: The Red Lion has a unique atmosphere that I haven’t found anywhere else in Oxford; definitely one to visit if you’re in town!

This bar-restaurant hybrid serves up everything from classic cocktails and craft beers to British classics like fish and chips, steak and ale pie and roast chicken with all the trimmings; the food lovers among you will be glad to know that Browns Bar & Brasserie also offers an extensive vegetarian menu. That said, its bar area is just as inviting as its restaurant; ideal for sharing some drinks with friends after a busy day exploring Oxford.
